Latest Obsession: Vintage Rugs

I've had a long-standing obsession with authentic vintage Moroccan shag rugs. While I hesitated to buy them in the past (fearful of what Koala and Tulipan might do to them), I decided to finally go for it when we moved to Los Angeles. Real vintage rugs can be hard to find, as they don't always come in standard catalogue sizes. They are handmade and the beauty lies in their uniqueness and variation. Thus, began my search for the perfect rugs for our new home! It was a treasure hunt that lead me to discover an amazing Etsy shop called The Sunny Side & Co. Curated out of Marrakesh by Omar Zourak, his collection of vintage Beni Ourain, Azila, and Boucherouite rugs is incredible. I love the colorful Azila rugs for our nursery and simple diamond patterned rug for the meditation room. In the ever increasingly fast retail landscape of replica design, it's very special to have these one-of-a-kind pieces in our home.
